Practice areas
Darryl has developed a broad practice during his 30 years as a Cayman Islands attorney, including corporate and commercial law, partnerships, real estate, banking and securities law, captive insurance, mutual funds and trusts. While Darryl has retired from the day to day practice of law, he will stay on as a consultant to the firm and will continue to deal with his existing clients’ matters and will ensure, where necessary, a smooth transition to other firm members.
Education and Career
Darryl graduated from Exeter College, Oxford University in 1960 in jurisprudence (B.A. Hons 1960, M.A. 1973) and was admitted as a solicitor in Jamaica in 1964. He was admitted as an attorney in the Cayman Islands in 1978, when he formed McDonald Myers & Co., which subsequently became McDonald Myers & Alberga in 1981 and then Myers & Alberga in 1985.
