Chrystn Eads practices in the area of government relations. Eads has an inside perspective of government at local and national levels, having served in the City and County of Honolulu administrations of both Mayor Peter Carlisle and Mayor Mufi Hannemann, as well as in the office of U.S. Senator Daniel K. Inouye. As Deputy Managing Director for Mayor Carlisle, she worked with the Managing Director on all significant city projects and all issues relating to the City Council, city agencies, city personnel, and information released by the Mayor. In addition, Eads was the Mayor’s designee to the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Hawai’i Host Committee. As Executive Assistant to Mayor Hannemann, her assignments included coordinating the city’s portfolio of grants through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act, and serving on the Transit Oriented Development (TOD) team.

As Legislative Assistant to Senator Inouye, Eads was responsible for a portfolio of issues including transportation, foreign policy, trade, homeland security, campaign finance reform, and ethics. She served as counsel to the Senator while he served as Vice Chairman of the Senate Select Committee on Ethics during the investigation of Senator Robert Torricelli and during the impeachment proceedings against President Bill Clinton. Her Washington, DC, experience also includes working for the government relations and public relations agency the Podesta Group.
