Christopher A. Jones, Esq.
Christopher A. Jones practices primarily in the areas of real property law, business law, natural resources law and environmental law; regularly representing real estate, mining, oil and gas and general business clients.
In Mr. Jones’ real estate and business transactional practice, he has experience in handling purchase and sale, entitlement and land use, due diligence, development and title issues. Mr. Jones also has substantial experience with business entity structuring, formation and maintenance.
In the areas of natural resources and environmental law, Mr. Jones has broad, comprehensive experience in nearly all areas. He has represented a variety of clients in handling environmental due diligence, mine permitting and reclamation, endangered species, air quality, water quality, public lands, and NEPA related matters.
Prior Professional Experience
During law school, Mr. Jones worked as the Rate Hearings Clerk for the U.S. Department of Energy’s Bonneville Power Administration 1999 Power Rate Case. Mr. Jones was admitted to the State Bar of California in 2000 and the Utah State Bar in 2004.
Upon graduation from law school, Mr. Jones joined a large law firm in Sacramento, California, concentrating on land use, real estate development, and mining law matters. He formerly served as a California mining law reporter. In the summer of 2004, he returned to his native Utah, joining the law firm of Pruitt Gushee, P.C. Mr. Jones joined Prince Yeates in 2006.
