Cheryl Steele’s practice concentrates on commercial and residential development for office, retail, industrial, single-family, and multi-family projects. Her Green practice involves guiding developers and commercial landlords in navigating LEED certification for new and existing buildings.

Cheryl Steele was named by Business North Carolina Magazine as one of North Carolina’s “Legal Elite” for her practice in Real Estate Law. In 2007, Ms. Steele was honored as one of the Top 25 Women in Business by the Charlotte Business Journal. She was selected by Law & Politics Magazine as a North Carolina “Super Lawyer” for Real Estate Law in 2008 and had a recent listing in Best Lawyers of America. Ms. Steele also recently received a Pro Bono Award from Charlotte Business Leader Magazine.
Ms. Steele is a deacon at Myers Park Presbyterian Church. She serves on the Executive Committee and Board of the Home Builders Association of Charlotte and is the current President of the Charlotte Basketball Committee.
