Camilo Francisco Caycedo Tribin is a partner at Pinilla Gonzalez & Prieto Abogados. He has great experience in local, national and international tax-related matters, especially in the structuring of planning strategies, consulting and compliance and in the use of administrative and judicial channels. He has performed as responsible for and advisor on tax and customs matters in trade unions, public sector bodies and important private companies of the energy, real estate, pharmaceutical and financial sectors, among others.
Camilo is a lawyer from Universidad de La Sabana, specialist in tax law from Colegio Mayor de Nuestra Señora del Rosario, in international tax law from Universidad Externado de Colombia, in private international law from Universidad de Salamanca (Spain) with a Master in economics from Universidad Javeriana. He has completed different post graduate studies and courses, including in International Financial Reporting Standards (ICDT) and in International Tax Law (ITC Leiden University, 2014).
He has acted as professor in some of the most renowned universities in the country, including Universidad de la Sabana, Universidad Sergio Arboleda, Universidad de los Andes and Escuela Internacional de Negocios. He has also been guest speaker at Universidad de la Republica de Uruguay in matters of exchange of tax information, panelist at the Jornadas Colombianas de Derecho Tributario (years 2011 and 2014) and assigned as rapporteur for Colombia in the subject of “specific anti-abuse clauses and agreements to avoid double taxation” at Jornadas Latinoamericanas de Derecho Tributario (Lima 2014).
He is the author of several national and international publications including his participation as co-author of the books Estudios Criticos de Jurisprudencia Tributaria Volumes II (2012) and III (2014) and Manual de Derecho Tributario Internacional of professor Victor Uckmar (2010).
