Profile
Brian McCoy is the lead attorney for the Horack Talley offices in South Carolina. His practice focuses on civil litigation, business transactions, contracts, collection, employment law, and constitutional law. Mr. McCoy is a Certified Civil Court Mediator.
Mr. McCoy’s professional experiences include acting as General Counsel and International Operations Manager for a chemical and electronics company, for which he established and managed all international operations, negotiated and drafted all corporate foreign and domestic agreements, and managed all corporate legal matters. He also served as a member of the board of directors and as corporate secretary of the company.
His private practice experience includes complex corporate litigation in South Carolina and North Carolina, as well as numerous successful jury and bench trials.
In 2005, Mr. McCoy handled a case and participated in oral argument before the United States Supreme Court.
Upon graduation from Duke University School of Law, Mr. McCoy served as law clerk to Judge Michael Kanne, United States Court of Appeals, Seventh Circuit (1989-1990).
