Amy’s strong commitment to delivering excellence in legal services has recently been recognised in her being awarded the 2010 IWIB Young Business Woman of the Year.
As the recipient of the 2010 The Illawarra Connection/ Sydney Business School MBA Scholarship, her approach is based on delivering practical and commercially orientated advice.
Amy is an accredited specialist in business law, one of only 3 female lawyers in NSW to hold that qualification. She has extensive experience in a broad range of commercial areas of the law including:
• sales and purchases of businesses and companies, including legal due diligence;
• preparing agreements for and advising partners, shareholders and unit holders on structuring arrangements;
• advising on commercial and construction contracts;
• advising lenders on finance structures and preparing finance and security documentation;
• advising on and preparing licences, commercial leases and leases under the Retail Leases Act; and
• providing advice to companies, associations and registered clubs on constitutional, membership and governance matters.
Amy supervises the Kells mortgage processing team for a number of leading financial services institutions.
Amy holds the position of governance director on the board of JCI Australia Limited, and is an assessor for the Practical Legal Training Unit of the University of Wollongong.
Amy’s expertise in business law is highly regarded and she has presented at a number of seminars and lectures.
